Where is U.S. Coal Exported?

U.S. coal is exported to more than 40 nations. Major markets for American coal include the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Brazil, South Korea, China and Canada. The U.S. exports both steam coal for generating electricity and metallurgical coal used in the steel-making process.
